The adjustment reflects a 15.9x 2027 EPS estimate, below AVY's five-year average. Despite a resilient Q1 performance, AVY faces challenges from raw material inflation and geopolitical uncertainty, which may impact demand in the second half of the year. The 2026 EPS estimate is slightly raised to $10.27, while the 2027 EPS remains at $11.46. AVY's diversified portfolio showed strength, although the Solutions Group experienced a 3% sales decline year-over-year." datetime: "2026-05-01T15:10:00.000Z" locales: - [zh-CN](https://longbridge.com/zh-CN/news/284915850.md) - [en](https://longbridge.com/en/news/284915850.md) - [zh-HK](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/284915850.md) --- # Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Hold Opinion On Shares Of Avery Dennison Corporation 11:10 AM EDT, 05/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows: We cut our target to $182 from $196, 15.9x our 2027 EPS estimate, below AVY's five-year average of 19.8x and a premium to competitor CCL Industries' current 18.1x multiple to reflect AVY's stronger EPS growth through 2028 and adjusted EBITDA margin expansion. We slightly raise our 2026 EPS view to $10.27 from $10.23 to reflect the Q1 beat (we maintain our 2027 EPS at $11.46). AVY reported a resilient Q1, demonstrating the strength of its diversified portfolio amidst a dynamic and challenging macroeconomic environment. AVY exceeded expectations for both earnings and revenue, due to strong performance in its Materials Group, which offset softness in the Solutions Group with sales down 3% Y/Y. Per management, significant raw material inflation was observed in March, due to rising petrochemical prices. AVY anticipates high-single-digit sequential inflation in Q2 and is implementing price increases to counteract. We think raw material inflation coupled with geopolitical uncertainty could impact demand in 2H. MT Newswires does not provide investment advice.
