# Sanofi Plans $216 Million AI Center Expansion in Toronto

01:57 PM EDT, 05/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sanofi ( SNY ) said Monday it will invest 294 million Canadian dollars ($216 million) to expand its global AI Centre of Excellence in Toronto in a bid to accelerate the development and delivery of medicines.

The expansion will create 50 new jobs focused on the designing and deployment of advanced AI tools, according to a statement.

The expansion is also supported by a conditional grant of up to CA$5 million from the Invest Ontario Fund, the company said.

Shares of Sanofi ( SNY ) were down 6% in Monday trading.
