# France not targeted in attack on CMA CGM vessel, says government spokesperson

PARIS, May 6 (Reuters) - The attack on one of the vessels of French shipping group CMA CGM in the Strait of Hormuz shows that the situation remains dangerous but France was not specifically targeted by the attack, government spokesperson Maud Bregeon said on Wednesday. “France was in no way the target,” Bregeon told reporters.
