# Zcash Plans Quantum-Recoverable Wallets and Scaling for Major Throughput

Josh Swihart announced that Zcash is set to introduce quantum-recoverable wallets within a month, with the goal of achieving full post-quantum capabilities within 12 to 18 months. According to NS3.AI, Swihart also mentioned that a separate scaling initiative is underway, aiming to reach throughput levels comparable to Mastercard and Visa within a similar timeframe.
