# The Haichen Energy Storage Chongqing Base has become the world's first "lighthouse factory" for energy storage batteries

On May 8th, news emerged that the World Economic Forum recently announced the list of new global "lighthouse factories" for 2026, with the Haicheng Energy Storage Chongqing base successfully selected, becoming the world's first "lighthouse factory" for energy storage batteries. This base is also the world's first mass production factory for kilowatt-hour long-duration energy storage dedicated batteries
