# PRECIOUS METALS | CFTC Reports Increase in COMEX Silver Speculative Net Long Positions

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) reported an increase in speculative net long positions for COMEX silver. According to Jin10, as of the week ending May 5, these positions rose by 196 contracts, reaching a total of 10,941 contracts.
