# "China-U.S. Relations" White House: Trump arrived in Beijing on the evening of the 13th and will meet with Xi Jinping the following morning

According to a report from the Economic Information Agency on the 11th, the White House has announced the details of President Trump's visit to China. He will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday (14th) morning, expected to discuss issues such as trade, Iran, and artificial intelligence (AI).

White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly stated that Trump will arrive in Beijing on Wednesday (13th) evening, Beijing time, on a special plane. He will attend a welcome ceremony arranged by the Chinese side on Thursday morning and hold talks with Xi Jinping around 10 a.m. That afternoon, the two heads of state will visit the Temple of Heaven, and the Chinese side will host a state banquet for Trump in the evening. On Friday (15th) morning, the two heads of state will have a tea meeting before attending a working lunch, after which Trump will return to Washington.

Kelly mentioned that both sides will continue to engage in lengthy discussions aimed at addressing matters related to the Trade and Investment Committee and reaching agreements on significant issues in aviation, agriculture, and energy. U.S. officials also noted that the situation in Iran and the Ukraine issue are among the focal points, as Trump has repeatedly discussed with Xi Jinping China's procurement of oil from Iran and Russia, as well as the sale of dual-use materials.

Before the meeting between the U.S. and Chinese heads of state, the Ministry of Commerce indicated that Vice Premier He Lifeng will lead a delegation to South Korea for two days of economic and trade consultations starting tomorrow. The Chinese side stated that both parties will conduct consultations on economic and trade issues of mutual concern, guided by the important consensus reached during the meeting between the two heads of state in Busan and previous communications.
