# Lucid Shuts Down Oslo Showroom After Just Three Years Amid Weak Norway Sales

Lucid has decided to shut down its main showroom in Oslo. The EV maker will center its Norwegian business in a facility in Rud Baerum, as it grapples with low sales.

As confirmed by local media, the Oslo shop will close for good on May 14, after about three years of operations. With the closure, Lucid owners will now have to visit another facility in Rud Baerum, which will now house sales, service, and delivery operations.

Lucid stated that the reorganization will yield more efficiency. The company will also take advantage of the extra space provided at the new location.

Not many owners will be impacted by the change. Figures supplied by OFV Statistics revealed only one Lucid EV registration in 2026, an Air sedan apparently owned by Lucid. In total, the company has sold only 31 cars, of which about 17 are owned by Lucid itself.

The American automaker, however, maintains that Norway remains a key European market and it is committed to maintaining its presence there. Lucid was reportedly in talks with potential partner dealers late in 2025.

Lucid introduced the electric Air sedan to Norway in 2023, when it opened the Oslo shop on Karl Johans gate 17. The Gravity SUV became available for order in 2025 in the Scandinavian country, with deliveries commencing in February.

Lucid delivered 3,093 EVs globally in Q1 2026, despite producing 5,500.

Lucid is not the only EV maker struggling to sell in Norway. Chinese Xpeng, Lotus, and Polestar also closed down showrooms in the capital city in 2025. Tesla Norway, however, had a good run in November 2025, registering a record 694 vehicles in a single day.
