The German energy company said Wednesday that adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, and adjusted earnings per share both rose 25% in the first three months of the year. Adjusted Ebitda was 1.63 billion euros ($1.91 billion), while adjusted EPS was 0.85 euros. Adjusted net income rose to 608 million euros from 505 million euros in the same period last year. The increase reflects normal wind speeds across Europe. In the year-earlier period, earnings were hit by very low speeds, which resulted in lower electricity production. This year, adjusted earnings in RWE's offshore wind segment rose to 570 million euros from 380 million euros previously. Its supply and trading unit flipped to a 84 million euros loss from a 15 million euros profit in the same period a year prior due to a weak trading performance. Despite this, RWE said it continues to expect earnings in a range of 100 million euros to 500 million euros. RWE backed its full-year guidance and confirmed it seeks to grow its dividend to 1.32 euros per share from the 1.20 euros it declared in 2025.
