According to promotional material shared this week, Tesla owners in China who purchase the company’s extended warranty coverage will gain access to a range of service discounts beginning May 13, 2026. The program applies to Tesla vehicles currently within their extended warranty coverage period and offers savings on selected maintenance items and repair services performed through Tesla-authorized service centres. The biggest incentive is a 25% discount on certain maintenance services, while other eligible maintenance items will receive a 10% discount. Tesla says the benefits include both parts and labour costs, though the exact savings will depend on the type of service performed. Based on the fine print included in the promotional material, the discounted services cover a variety of common maintenance procedures. These include cabin air filter replacements, HEPA filter changes, wiper blade replacements, air conditioning servicing, brake fluid checks or replacement, brake caliper lubrication, radiator cleaning, and tire balancing. However, as is typical with extended warranties, the coverage does not extend to body repairs, paint work, collision damage, aftermarket modifications, unauthorized repairs, or issues caused by non-original parts.
