# Rocket Lab Stock Jumps After $2.2B Backlog and New Multi-Launch Deal

Rocket Lab Corp. climbed about 6% on Wednesday after a fresh analyst note and a string of contract wins kept the space company in focus.

Rocket Lab shares also touched a record high before some traders locked in gains.

Rocket Lab drew added support after Needham raised its price target to $120 from $95 and reiterated a Buy rating. The call followed first-quarter revenue of $200.35 million, which came in above expectations, along with a record $2.2 billion backlog.

Rocket Lab also benefited from a new multi-launch contract covering five Neutron missions and three Electron missions, the company's largest launch deal so far. Rocket Lab has also been helped by a partnership with RTX Corp. (RTX) tied to the U.S. Space Force.

Investor attention has also turned to the possibility of a SpaceX IPO later in 2026, which could lift interest in listed space names such as Rocket Lab. Still, some technical readings suggest the stock may be stretched after its strong run.
