# Summer Stock Picks 2026: Intuitive Machines

Space exploration stock Intuitive Machines (LUNR) in April broke out to three-year highs and is strongly outperforming the broader market to the tune of a 71% year-to-date gain. Since last August, the shares have risen more than 200%, all while short interest is up 70% during the same timeframe.

With 25% of the stock’s total available float sold short and LUNR showing persistent technical strength, many of these short sellers are trapped in a losing position and will be forced to cover.
