China Gold International Resources ( (TSE:CGG) ) just unveiled an announcement.

China Gold International Resources reported a strong start to 2026, with revenue for the first quarter rising 66% year-on-year to US$453.2 million as higher metal prices and stable operations boosted results. Mine operating earnings climbed to US$292.8 million and operating cash flow reached US$268.7 million, underlining improved profitability and cash generation.

Net profit surged to a record US$236.4 million, exceeding US$200 million in a quarter for the first time in the company’s history and highlighting its leverage to favorable market conditions. While gold output fell 22% to 34,820 ounces and copper production was roughly flat at 37.5 million pounds, management said the strong earnings provide a solid foundation to pursue its full-year strategy and focus on operational efficiency and long-term shareholder value.
