Michael Brown’s rating is based on Schwab’s reinforced strategic advantages and upgraded financial outlook. Management emphasized that the firm’s cash sweep model remains competitive without needing an optimizer tool, as clients can easily move into higher-yield products and are actively doing so, supporting high engagement and record asset levels.

Schwab also raised its 2026 revenue growth forecast to the mid-teens and now expects a higher net interest margin than previously guided, implying modest upside to earnings expectations. While expense growth is set to increase, much of it is tied to higher client activity and regulatory fees, and the company still anticipates positive operating leverage, underpinning confidence in profit growth and justifying the reiterated $119 price target and Buy rating.

In another report released today, Barclays also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $127.00 price target.
