# Wall Street's Biggest AI Bull Just Got Louder

Wedbush analyst Dan Ives believes the AI boom is nowhere close to peaking, predicting the Nasdaq could surge to 30,000 within the next six to nine months as investor enthusiasm around AI chips, infrastructure and blockbuster tech IPOs keeps accelerating.

Speaking in a CNBC interview after Cerebras Systems' explosive market debut, Ives called the IPO a watershed moment for the tech sector and argued that demand for AI related investments remains exceptionally strong. Cerebras delivered one of the biggest IPO debuts in years, adding more than $4B in value on its first trading day and reinforcing the market's appetite for companies tied directly to the AI infrastructure race.

Ives described the current AI cycle as only being in the third inning of a much longer growth story. He pushed back aggressively against bearish calls on the tech sector, saying recent trips to Asia showed AI demand accelerating another 20% quarter over quarter. According to Ives, the real warning sign would be if hyperscalers and enterprises started pulling back AI spending, something he says is not happening at all right now.

The analyst also highlighted the enormous imbalance between supply and demand across the AI chip market, pointing specifically to Nvidia's (NVDA) reported 10 to 1 demand to supply ratio. He said the momentum should continue spreading across the semiconductor industry, including companies like AMD and even Intel as secondary beneficiaries of the broader AI buildout.

Beyond chips, Ives argued the next major phase of the AI trade could come from IPO markets. He described Cerebras as merely the appetizer, with future public offerings from companies like SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic potentially creating even more excitement around AI exposed assets.

Even OpenAI's recent controversies did not shake his confidence. Ives said the market's narrative around the company has become too negative compared to the underlying reality, arguing OpenAI will still become one of the foundational players of the AI era.
