# Bitcoin and Ethereum Treasury Companies Increase Holdings Amid Market Decline

During last week's downturn, where Bitcoin fell by 4.3% and Ethereum by 7.7%, major treasury companies for both cryptocurrencies made significant purchases, blockchain sleuth EmberCN posted on X. Bitcoin treasury company Strategy (MSTR) acquired 24,869 BTC at an approximate price of $80,985 each, totaling $2.014 billion. The company now holds a total of 843,738 BTC, valued at $65.221 billion, with an average cost of $75,700 per Bitcoin, resulting in a floating profit of $1.35 billion, or 2.1%. Similarly, Ethereum treasury company BitMNR (BMNR) purchased 71,672 ETH at an average price of $2,251, amounting to $161 million. BitMNR's total Ethereum holdings now stand at 5,278,462 ETH, valued at $11.312 billion, with an average cost of $3,522 per Ethereum, leading to a floating loss of $7.279 billion, or 39.1%.
