The latest site is located at 1636 Highway 15, at an A&W restaurant just off Highway 401. While Tesla has not officially announced the station is under construction, activity at the location confirms the project is finally moving ahead. The Kingston Supercharger first appeared on Tesla’s Find Us map back in October 2024, listed as “in development.” However, just a few months later in December 2024, the site disappeared from the map altogether, leading many owners to assume the project may have been cancelled. Nearly a year later, Tesla re-added the Kingston location to its Supercharger map in September 2025, signalling the company had revived its plans for the area. Eight months later and the site is finally under construction. According to photos shared with _Drive Tesla_ by one of our readers, Dave, work is still in its early stages. Excavation work has begun and underground conduit is being put in place. The location itself makes a lot of sense for Tesla’s growing Canadian charging network. Highway 401 remains one of the most heavily travelled transportation routes in the country, and Kingston serves as a key midpoint between several major cities in Eastern Ontario and Quebec. While Tesla already operates Superchargers in nearby communities, including another two already open in Kingston, adding another site directly off the 401 should help reduce congestion and improve charging access during busy travel periods. There is also another Supercharger planned for the Kingston area. According to Tesla’s map, a second location on Princess Street, on the west side of the city near Canadian Tire, is currently listed as “in development.” Another site in Ontario also just started construction. Last week we told you about a second Supercharger going up in Madoc. ### Related Stocks - [TSL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSL.US.md) - [TSLR.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSLR.US.md) - [TESL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TESL.US.md) - [TSLL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSLL.US.md) - [TSLG.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSLG.US.md) - [TSLT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSLT.US.md) - [TSLA.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/TSLA.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [Tesla has a possible fix for chaotic charging lines](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286133106.md) - [Tesla’s $250 Million Germany Bet Is Interesting.
