Here's how the pros trade AMZN In late March, Delta Air Lines, the world's largest airline by annual revenue, picked Leo to upgrade the in-flight Wi-Fi experience for its travelers. This came after the carrier had previously considered going with Starlink. ## **Musk Criticizes Delta Air Lines' Amazon Leo Pick** Last week, Elon Musk, in a post on X, criticized Delta Air Lines' choice while responding to a comment on the social platform that suggested that talks broke down between both companies due to a portal branding disagreement. In his response, Musk noted that SpaceX requires that there be no "annoying" portal to use Starlink, adding that "Delta wanted to make it painful, difficult, and expensive for their customers." "Hard to see how that is a winning strategy," Musk added. ## **Delta Air Lines Points to Pricing, Added Benefits** However, in an interview with _Bloomberg_ on Monday, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian said it opted for Leo over Starlink as the former offers lower pricing with the added advantage of a library of streaming content and video gaming technologies. Bastian said this will make a big difference. This is even as Amazon's technology is expected to power travelers' activities such as streaming a movie, playing games, and joining a video call while in the air. Meanwhile, the deal is seen as a shot at Starlink, which significantly outnumbers Amazon in terms of the number of satellites in orbit. According to estimates, Starlink has more than 10,000 satellites in orbit. By contrast, Leo, formerly the Amazon Kuiper project, only launched its first 27 satellites in April last year. ## **Is Amazon a Buy or Sell Right Now?** On Wall Street, Amazon's shares continue to enjoy a Strong Buy consensus rating from analysts. This breaks down to 45 Buys and one Hold issued by 46 analysts over the past three months.
