# POET Pulls Back After Earnings Following 43% Surge

POET Technologies fell 3.74% in premarket after surging 43.15% the prior session on the announcement of a supply agreement with Lumilens that included a $50 million initial purchase order for EOI-based optical engines and a framework that could scale to $500 million or more over five years.

Today's move follows the Q1 2026 earnings released. Q1 revenue was $503,389, up from $166,760 a year earlier. Net loss narrowed to $12.3 million, or $0.08 loss per share, from $42.7 million in Q4'25. Cash operating burn held roughly steady at $8.8 million, compared with $8.9 million a year ago. POET ended the quarter with $429.1 million in cash and short-term investments and $5.8 million in convertible debt.

The weighted average share count nearly doubled year-over-year to 147.5 million from 78.2 million in Q1'25, following a $150 million equity offering in January 2026 and multiple earlier placements.
