Technology stocks also stayed under pressure, pulling the S&P 500 Index (SPX) and Nasdaq lower for a second straight session. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), the Nasdaq 100 (NDX), and the S&P 500 were down 0.15%, 0.64%, and 0.39%, respectively, at 5:35 a.m. EDT on May 19. ### Claim 55% Off TipRanks Trade QQQ with leverage At the time of writing, Brent crude **(****CM:BZ****)** was down 2% to about $109.86 per barrel, while WTI crude **(****CM:CL****)** slipped 1.54% to around $106.99. In the regular trading session, tech stocks slipped to start a busy earnings week. The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 dipped 0.5% and 0.1%, respectively, while the Dow added 0.3%. Memory chip stocks fell on Monday after Seagate Technology (STX) CEO Dave Mosley said the company may struggle to keep up with rising AI demand.
