# SEC Ends Investigation into Zcash Foundation Without Enforcement Action

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has concluded its investigation into the Zcash Foundation, deciding not to pursue any enforcement actions. According to NS3.AI, the foundation attributed governance disputes at Electric Coin Company as the reason for the departure of most of its development team during the quarter. Despite these internal challenges, the Zcash network maintained normal operations, continuing to produce blocks and settle transactions without affecting user funds or privacy.
