# Zerohash Seeks New Funding Round After Mastercard Withdraws Investment Plans

Zerohash is reportedly seeking a new funding round with a valuation exceeding $1.5 billion. According to NS3.AI, this move comes after Mastercard decided not to invest in the crypto infrastructure firm. Earlier this year, Zerohash was in discussions to raise $250 million at a $1.5 billion valuation, opting to remain independent. In March, Mastercard shifted its focus and agreed to acquire BVNK for $1.8 billion, following the conclusion of acquisition talks with Zerohash.
