# U.S. API Gasoline Inventory Declines by 5.795 Million Barrels

The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported a significant decrease in U.S. gasoline inventories for the week ending May 15. According to Jin10, the gasoline stockpiles fell by 5.795 million barrels, surpassing the expected decline of 2.11 million barrels. The previous week's inventory had shown an increase of 502,000 barrels.
