The company reported adjusted earnings of 20 cents per share, beating analyst estimates of 17 cents per share. Total revenue was up 32.2% year-over-year on same restaurant sales growth of 9.7%, primarily driven by guest traffic growth of 6.8%. The company opened 20 new restaurants during the first quarter, bringing total locations up to 459, up 20.2% year-over-year. Cava ended the period with $295.77 million in cash and cash equivalents. “These results, which include the lap of strong prior year comparisons, speak to the structural strength of our business, the resonance of our compelling value proposition, and our position as the dominant leader in Mediterranean – all of which fuel our confidence to sustain this momentum going forward,” said **Brett Schulman**, co-founder and CEO of Cava Group.
