# Alphabet Unveils New A.I. Models At Developer Conference

Google parent company Alphabet (GOOGL) has unveiled a number of new artificial intelligence (A.I.) models at its annual developer conference.

Notably, the technology giant introduced a new version of its Gemini A.I. chatbot, as well as a new A.I. model designed to simulate the physical world.

The company’s leadership team made the announcements at the annual Google I/O developer conference held in Silicon Valley.

The new products are being launched as Alphabet tries to keep pace with rival startup companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI that are planning to go public later this year.

The highlight of Google’s new A.I. products was “Gemini 3.5 Flash,” a lighter-weight addition to its suite of cutting-edge A.I. chatbots and models.

Gemini 3.5 Flash is remarkably fast, according to Alphabet, and is initially being offered at half the price of comparable A.I. products.

Executives at Alphabet said that Gemini 3.5 Flash will now be the default model for the Gemini app that’s included in the Google search engine.

The company also announced “Gemini Spark,” a new general-purpose A.I. agent in the Gemini app that can reason across information in connected apps.

Gemini Spark is currently in beta testing mode and will be available to Google AI Ultra subscribers later in May.

Alphabet’s A.I. offerings also now include Omni, a world model designed to simulate physical environments, predicting what happens next based on a user’s actions.

World models are widely used in robotics and have been researched by Alphabet over the years.

Omni will now work across Alphabet’s various A.I. offerings as well as with the company’s YouTube channel. Users can employ Omni to edit videos and create more realistic images.

GOOGL stock has increased 136% over the last 12 months to trade at $387.66 U.S. per share.
