Yet, they are too often positioned as a last resort rather than a viable care option, limiting patient access, slowing enrollment and making the path to new treatment options longer. Identifying and matching patients to the right clinical trial opportunity remains the single-largest cause of clinical trial delays, with many trials failing to meet their initial enrollment targets. But meeting an enrollment target doesn’t guarantee the right patients are represented, as trials consistently fall short of reflecting the communities that carry the greatest burden of disease. What are the biggest hurdles to patient participation? How has community-based clinical research bolstered patient-trial matching and the ability for trial populations to better reflect the intended patient population? How do innovative trial designs help achieve better science while accelerating patient access to new therapies? This Clinical Trials Day, join The Hill and Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) to discuss how federal regulations and legislation can be modernized to eliminate regulatory and financial barriers to clinical research, ensuring that all patients — in urban, suburban, and rural communities alike — can participate in clinical trials as part of their healthcare journey. Following the afternoon’s programming, attendees are invited to step outside to the Woodrow Wilson Plaza, where two of Lilly’s Mobile Research Units (MRUs) will be stationed for live tours. The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET. ### Related Stocks - [LLY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/LLY.US.md) - [ELIS.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ELIS.US.md) - [IXJ.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IXJ.US.md) - [FBT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/FBT.US.md) - [LABU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/LABU.US.md) - [VHT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/VHT.US.md) - [SBIO.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SBIO.US.md) - [PBE.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/PBE.US.md) - [IBB.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IBB.US.md) - [IBBQ.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IBBQ.US.md) - [IHE.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/IHE.US.md) - [BIB.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BIB.US.md) - [LLYX.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/LLYX.US.md) - [ELIL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ELIL.US.md) - [XBI.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XBI.US.md) - [XLV.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XLV.US.md) - [ARKG.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ARKG.US.md) - [BBH.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BBH.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [Trump purchased Eli Lilly stock as policies favored its drugs](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286791021.md) - [Eli Lilly (LLY) Is the Face of the Obesity Boom.
