The collaboration combines ChargePoint’s charging solutions with OBE Power’s owned-and-operated infrastructure model, under which OBE finances, deploys and operates the charging infrastructure directly. The companies said they have already aligned their multifamily development pipelines and expect to begin deploying charging infrastructure under the partnership in the near term. According to the companies, the turnkey approach is designed to remove both financial and operational barriers for landlords and property owners. OBE Power will oversee the operation and maintenance of the charging infrastructure, including driver support, insurance, repairs and ongoing maintenance. The company will also manage energy cost reimbursement and carbon credit revenues as part of the service model. The agreement expands an existing relationship between ChargePoint and OBE Power, which previously focused on EV charging installations in the hospitality sector. With the new partnership, the companies are now targeting the multifamily residential market, which has become an increasingly important segment for charging providers as EV adoption continues to rise across North America. “ChargePoint and OBE Power are expanding our relationship from hotels and hospitality into multifamily housing, which has long lacked a simple and scalable path for EV charging,” said Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint. “Together, we are enabling drivers to charge where they live. We’re also delivering a turnkey solution for landlords thanks to ChargePoint’s technology combined with OBE Power’s owned and operated business model.” “After more than a decade of collaboration with ChargePoint to deploy EV charging where people live, work, and stay, we have built a strong track record of delivering the reliability and performance EV drivers expect,” said Alejandro Burgana, Cofounder and Managing Director of OBE Power. “By combining ChargePoint’s technology with OBE Power’s owned-and-operated model, we deliver EV charging solutions purpose-built for multifamily communities.” chargepoint.com ### Related Stocks - [CHPT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/CHPT.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [ChargePoint Wants To Fix The Condo EV Charging Problem With 2,500 New Ports](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286908193.md) - [Absurdly Fast EV Chargers Are Coming To America, But Cars Aren't Ready](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286643494.md) - [ACMobility’s Power-on-Wheels Shows How Southeast Asia May Solve EV Charging Differently](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287155982.md) - [Heat and EVs could save European households thousands and blunt energy shocks, report finds](https://longbridge.com/en/news/287109769.md) - [NIO Q1 Earnings Date Set for May 21 — Is This EV Stock Ready for a Breakout?](https://longbridge.com/en/news/286870895.md)
