# KHPG: Pirfenidone tablets approved for listing

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, KHPG (002773.SZ) announced that it recently received the "Drug Registration Certificate" (Certificate No.: 2026S01622, 2026S01623) for Pirfenidone Tablets issued by the National Medical Products Administration, approving its registration.

The active ingredient of Pirfenidone Tablets is Pirfenidone, which is classified as a Class II psychotropic drug according to the national "Regulations on the Administration of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances." Pirfenidone is a non-competitive antagonist of the ionotropic α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) glutamate receptor on postsynaptic neurons. Glutamate is the main excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and is involved in various neurological diseases caused by neuronal hyperexcitability
