# Trump Says Ceasefire Talks with Iran Moving along Well; Hormuz Said to Reopen 30 Days After Deal

US President Donald Trump said negotiations between the US and Iran on extending a ceasefire and a temporary agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz are moving along well.

He added that Iran's enriched uranium could be destroyed on site or eliminated at another acceptable location. As the main coordinator between the warring parties, Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir informed China that the agreement is close to being finalized.

The US and Iran, according to Nikkei, are discussing reopening Hormuz around 30 days after both sides seal a deal to cease hostilities, with naval mines in the strait to be cleared during that 30-day period.

International oil prices moved in different directions this morning (26th). Brent oil futures for July delivery added 1.64% to USD97.72 per barrel, while New York oil futures for July delivery slid 5.47% to USD91.32 per barrel.
