# CoreWeave (CRWV) Is Booming Alongside AI. The Debt Story Still Worries Me

CoreWeave (CRWV) has quickly become one of the market's biggest artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure stories, but I think investors are underestimating how much debt and spending the business requires to sustain that growth. The company operates a cloud platform built around high-performance Nvidia (NVDA) graphics processing units (GPUs), providing AI labs, hyperscalers, and enterprise customers with the computing power needed to train and run advanced AI models.

With these entities continuing to spend massively on compute, CoreWeave has sustained incredible growth. Its Q1 revenue more than doubled, while backlog reached $99.4 billion. Yet behind the growth story sits a harsher reality. CoreWeave's model requires enormous capital spending, including taking on massive debt and undergoing constant hardware refreshes, making profitability harder than the top line suggests. For this reason, I am bearish on CoreWeave stock.
