The move is aimed at buyers who may be willing to consider advanced software, autonomous-driving features and lower prices over traditional brand heritage from Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Maybach (MBGAF) and BMW (BMWKY). The Maextro S800 sits at the center of that shift. Developed with Huawei technology and manufactured by JAC Motors, the battery-powered sedan is roughly 18 feet long and priced between about $104,000 and $173,000, depending on configuration. Huawei supplies key software, including autonomous-driving and entertainment systems, while JAC handles production. The company has also placed the brand inside showrooms that sell premium smartphones and wearable devices, creating an ecosystem-style pitch that could make the vehicle feel less like a traditional luxury sedan and more like a technology platform on wheels. For investors, the story could be bigger than one high-end model. China's vehicle exports have climbed from roughly one million units in 2020 to more than seven million last year, strengthening its role as the world's largest car exporter. Huawei said more than 17,000 Maextro vehicles had been delivered through April since the model's debut about a year ago, with executives and entrepreneurs making up many buyers. The company is also preparing an even more expensive ultra-premium model that could approach $300,000. European luxury brands may still hold an edge in ride refinement, exclusivity and bespoke craftsmanship, but China's push into software-heavy luxury EVs could add fresh pressure on legacy premium automakers while opening new revenue opportunities for technology suppliers such as Huawei. ### Related Stocks - [RYCEY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/RYCEY.US.md) - [BMW.DE](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BMW.DE.md) - [BMW3.DE](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BMW3.DE.md) - [BMWYY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BMWYY.US.md) - [600418.CN](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/600418.CN.md) ## Related News & Research - [Rolls-Royce upgrades Spectre with more range and faster charging](https://longbridge.com/en/news/288561972.md) - [AI Energy Engineering Discloses Major Advance Payments for MTU Gas Generator Sets](https://longbridge.com/en/news/288440880.md) - [5 cars you should think twice about trading in when upgrading your vehicle](https://longbridge.com/en/news/289057562.md) - [Silentium, Automotive Active Acoustics Software, Files for NYSE American IPO](https://longbridge.com/en/news/289100773.md) - [Claudia Sheinbaum Unveils Affordable EV Prototype Backed By Government, Calls It The 'Car Created By Young Mexican Women And Men'](https://longbridge.com/en/news/289020966.md)
