# Six CICC Analysts Transform into Skills: Brokerage AI Competition Accelerates

On June 1, CICC Diansheng announced the launch of six new analyst Skills, available for invocation in Agent mode;

After completing registration, users can simply input “/” in CICC Diansheng to directly converse with the analysts' digital avatars and access services.

This signifies that CICC's analyst Skill system is moving from a single pilot phase to matrix-based expansion.

In fact, CICC's exploration of analyst Skills began half a month earlier:

On May 18, CICC Diansheng launched the “Analyst.Skill” feature for the first time, introducing a digital avatar named “Lao Yu,” modeled after Yu Zhonghai, the chief analyst for the computer industry;

According to official disclosures, “Lao Yu” was trained on over 300,000 words of research materials and more than 120,000 proprietary data indicators. It internalizes an investment research framework encompassing hypothesis–verification–valuation–risk, enabling structured analysis of hot topics, financial report impacts, and individual stock logic.

Subsequently, CICC further rolled out multiple investment research Skills, including core assumption analysis for individual stocks, earnings forecast analysis, and valuation analysis, stating that it would continue to expand its analyst Skill system in the future.

**It is worth noting that CICC is not the only player in the financial analysis Skill sector.**

In March this year, East Money pioneered the launch of a financial Skills system featuring news search, financial data, and intelligent stock selection, while simultaneously building the Miaoxiang large model capability library;

Later, it encapsulated capabilities such as financial data, market quotes, investment research analysis, and portfolio management into eight standardized Skills, integrating them into Huawei's Xiaoyi Claw platform.

On May 20, East Money's Miaoxiang Investment Research Assistant further debuted on Alibaba Cloud's JVS Claw Digital Employee Plaza in the form of a ClawBot digital employee, becoming the platform's first financial digital employee Bot. Users can invoke capabilities such as stock selection, research report search, financial report interpretation, and fund diagnosis through natural language, completing the entire investment research task workflow.

Other institutions, including Guotai Haitong Securities, Guosen Securities, and GF Securities, have also begun to centrally launch financial Skill products.

Among them, Guotai Haitong launched six Lingxi Skills, including research report search, real-time quotes, financial data, market heat lists, intelligent stock selection, and watchlist management;

Guosen Securities introduced six types of investment research Skills, such as intelligent stock selection, ETF screening, fund comparison, and macroeconomic data;

GF Securities encapsulated capabilities like Top Gainers/Losers List analysis, ETF screening, and abnormal capital flows into standardized plugins, constructing an internal Skill system covering investment research, wealth management, and operational support.

**From a timeline perspective, competition among brokerage Skills has clearly intensified.**

From March to April, the industry primarily focused on laying out tool-oriented Skills such as quote inquiries, data calls, and research report searches;

Starting in May, East Money took the lead in experimenting with the digital employee format, while CICC encapsulated analysts themselves into callable AI capabilities.

Behind this change lies a shift in the focus of AI competition among brokerages.

Over the past year, most brokerages have completed the construction of their large model foundations, narrowing the capability gap between self-developed models and external models. In this context, the true barrier to entry is no longer the model itself, but the data assets, research frameworks, and analyst experience accumulated by brokerages over the long term.

**Analyst Skills are essentially productizing these resources.**

Previously, the influence of star analysts was mainly exerted through research reports, roadshows, and conference calls;

Under the Skill model, their research frameworks, industry insights, and analytical logic are encapsulated into reusable, callable digital capabilities, enabling 24/7 online service.

In a sense, brokerages are transforming researchers from content producers into capability providers.

For the research business, this also implies new commercialization possibilities.

For a long time, the core asset of brokerage research institutes has not been individual research reports, but the industry insights and methodologies accumulated by analysts. As the Skill format matures, these capabilities, previously dependent on manual delivery, are beginning to be transformed into standardized digital products.

However, multiple institutions have emphasized that current analyst Skills are positioned more as research auxiliary tools. Due to issues such as hallucinations and randomness inherent in large models, their output cannot fully replace the judgment of professional researchers.
