He will be replaced by Rob Livingston, a former Visa (V) executive. ## **BofA Calls CFO Change a "Negative Surprise"** Pierry described the leadership change as a "negative surprise" and said Lago was one of Nu's most important executives. According to the analyst, Lago helped lead the company's IPO and played a key role in maintaining financial discipline as the business grew rapidly and became more profitable. He was also a key contact for investors and shareholders. While BofA views Livingston's financial services experience as a positive, the firm believes the timing of the transition creates uncertainty. The analyst noted that Nu is facing a more challenging credit environment in Brazil while continuing to expand in Mexico and Colombia. Nu said Livingston brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services and most recently served as CFO of Visa's North America business.
