# Adecoagro to Launch Bitcoin Mining in Brazil Using Sugarcane Residue

Adecoagro is set to initiate Bitcoin mining operations in Brazil by utilizing electricity generated from burning sugarcane residue. According to NS3.AI, the project will commence with an initial capacity of 10 MW of electricity and will deploy 1,280 Bitcoin mining machines. The operations are anticipated to start around July 1, 2026.
