Intel is now teaming up with Hitachi (HTHIY) to address five major areas of operation. These fields will, hopefully, produce innovations that give organizations means to improve efficiency. Such a move will, in turn, give Intel and Hitachi new product lines to offer organizations with the obvious marketing impetus, "This will help you save money." Hitachi will bring in its HMAX system for Intel's fabrication operations, and Intel will offer high-voltage chips for Hitachi's power systems. The two will also work together on quantum computing research and development by putting together co-development operations. ## **Wildcat Lake Refresh Coming 2027?** A recent leak out of Intel suggests a new version of the Wildcat Lake processor may be coming out next year. The new version will have an eight-core configuration, using four P-Cores and four LP-E cores. The end result will be known as the Core 400 if all goes as planned. This is actually a step up from the current Wildcat Lake line, which also has four LP-E cores, but only two P-Cores. That means a likely surge in overall performance to match. In fact, the leak even suggests that the new Wildcat Lake is set to fill a market niche that would have been handled by an earlier-revealed six-core Nova Lake mobile. However, the leak also suggested that the Nova Lake chip got canceled to make room for the Wildcat Lake refresh instead. ## **Is Intel a Buy, Hold or Sell?** Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on INTC stock based on 10 Buys, 25 Holds and three Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below.
