# Apple's launch event received a lukewarm response, and Wall Street reacted coolly

Analysts are not particularly excited about Tim Cook's final keynote as Apple's CEO. The event focused on the AI upgrades for its voice assistant.

"We believe investors will not be excited about the content released this time," wrote David Vogt of UBS in a report to clients on Monday, stating that these upgrades are insufficient to drive iPhone demand. By 2025, the iPhone accounts for about half of Apple's revenue.

Brandon Nispel of KeyBanc stated, "There are no clear signals of AI monetization," only "a slightly improved standalone Siri, which still lags behind other large language models."

William Power of Baird noted that the new Siri's AI capabilities "roughly meet" expectations, but if executed properly, these features could become "a huge breakthrough."

Against the backdrop of rising inflation, wage growth, and declining personal savings, Apple is facing resistance at the consumer level.

Goldman Sachs analyst Michael Wu believes that weak consumer demand is a key risk for Apple.

"Any weakness in the macro environment could reduce demand for Apple's products and services," he wrote to clients on Monday. "Extended replacement cycles due to macroeconomic headwinds, increased product durability, or lack of product innovation could negatively impact upgrade demand."
