# JPMorgan Chase (JPM) to Deploy AI Agents Across Its Banking Operations

JPMorgan Chase (JPM) plans to deploy powerful new artificial intelligence (AI) agents across its banking and dealmaking operations.

In a statement, JPMorgan said that the AI agents can work autonomously for longer than existing artificial intelligence models, marking another milestone in the bank's ongoing embrace and adoption of AI technologies.

AI agents are evolving from tools that complete single tasks to full-blown digital assistants and workers that can manage daily workflows. JPMorgan, the world's biggest bank with assets under management (AUM) of nearly $5 trillion, has been at the forefront of AI adoption in Corporate America.

## **JPMorgan's AI Ambitions**

JPMorgan has a nearly $20 billion annual technology budget, which it is using to accelerate its AI deployments. The bank is adopting more advanced AI technologies as they clear the security and governance hurdles that have slowed adoption inside many other large companies.

JPMorgan Chase executives have said that they are using AI to replace many of the mundane tasks carried out by human workers. AI is also being deployed across the bank's operations. In private banking, for example, AI systems are being used to screen market activity, client positions, and provide research reports. The bank says this frees bankers to focus on client relationships.

The stock of JPMorgan Chase has a consensus Moderate Buy rating among 16 Wall Street analysts. That rating is based on nine Buy and seven Hold recommendations issued in the last three months. The average JPM price target of $336.58 implies 9% upside from current levels.
