This is a significant boost for Tesla, which is seeking to expand this technology into more markets. The Danish Road Traffic Authority announced on Tuesday that it will allow Tesla owners to use the company's Full Self-Driving (supervised by a driver) system. This system assists vehicles in changing lanes and avoiding other vehicles and objects. The agency stated that this move is aimed at enhancing road safety. Tesla posted on social media that it will soon begin promoting this technology in Denmark. According to information on Tesla's website, the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system does not enable fully autonomous driving and can only be used by drivers who are fully attentive. Denmark thus becomes the fourth country in the European Union to approve FSD, following Estonia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands. The Netherlands Vehicle Authority (RDW) stated in April that the system had undergone more than a year and a half of testing and that its proper use has a positive impact on road safety. The agency has submitted an application for this technology to be approved throughout the EU. However, during the review period by EU authorities, individual countries can recognize the Netherlands' approval in advance, allowing Tesla to promote FSD.
