Report: SpaceX Subscription Soars to $250 Billion, Nearly Four Times Oversubscribed On Tuesday, Reuters cited insiders revealing that SpaceX has attracted over $250 billion in investor subscription demand, far exceeding the company's planned fundraising target of $75 billion, positioning it to become the largest initial public offering in history. The transaction's oversubscription rate is approximately 3.5 to 4 times the planned issuance size. Investment banks and investors stated that this indicates robust market demand. Reuters had reported on Friday that long-term holding funds submitted "some substantial orders." Additional sources indicated that Elon Musk briefly attended Zoom meetings with some potential investors. The company is still conducting its roadshow marketing. On Tuesday, SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell and Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnsen were expected to attend a luncheon hosted by Morgan Stanley in Midtown Manhattan, meeting with approximately 300 institutional investors. The event was moderated by Dan Simkowitz, Co-President of Morgan Stanley. Investor demand may still change before the IPO pricing, which is expected to take place on Thursday afternoon. The subscription data reflects indicative subscriptions rather than final allocation results, which will be determined at the time of pricing. Some large institutional investors often submit orders in the later stages of the IPO process. This issuance comes amid extreme market volatility. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell on Tuesday, following its largest single-day drop in over a year on Friday; Bitcoin dropped 2.8% on Tuesday, down 37% from its year-to-date high. Some analysts speculate that one reason for the market correction could be that SpaceX buyers are selling off assets to raise capital for the IPO. ## Rocket Launches, Starlink, and Space-Based Data Centers Are the Three Core Engines SpaceX emphasized its market leadership in the rocket launch business, stating that over the past three years, its launch services accounted for the vast majority of orbital transport volume. The company also showcased the strong performance of its Starlink internet business. SpaceX also promoted the $23 trillion market opportunity facing its artificial intelligence business, claiming it is the only company capable of breaking through the limitations of ground-based operations by leveraging space to build AI computing power, which is expected to attract enormous demand in the future. Citing data, the company pointed out that the United States faces shortcomings in power supply and computing power growth, partly because large infrastructure projects face high implementation barriers in the U.S. Using SpaceX's launch capabilities to send related facilities into orbit could fundamentally resolve this bottleneck. SpaceX stated: > “By significantly reducing the cost of access to space, we have been able to expand our mission to address some of the most pressing challenges on Earth, including bridging the digital divide by planning to connect over 3 billion unconnected people, allowing humanity to share knowledge.” ### Related Stocks - [SPCX.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SPCX.US.md) - [SPCH.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SPCH.US.md) - [MS.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS.US.md) - [.IXIC.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/.IXIC.US.md) - [MS-O.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-O.US.md) - [MS-Q.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-Q.US.md) - [MS-E.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-E.US.md) - [MS-I.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-I.US.md) - [MS-L.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-L.US.md) - [MS-P.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-P.US.md) - [MS-A.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-A.US.md) - [MS-F.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-F.US.md) - [MS-K.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MS-K.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [Countdown to SpaceX: Here are 7 things you need to know ahead of the historic IPO](https://longbridge.com/en/news/289232874.md) - [Elon Musk's SpaceX paid to secure its ticker symbol ahead of blockbuster IPO](https://longbridge.com/en/news/288731632.md) - [AI coding startup Cursor, courted by SpaceX, picks London as European hub](https://longbridge.com/en/news/289137648.md) - [Anthropic says AI labs need coordinated plan to halt development if risks rise](https://longbridge.com/en/news/288782596.md) - [SpaceX Reveals Its New AI1 Satellite for Space-Based AI Data Centers](https://longbridge.com/en/news/289235701.md)
