China Nature Energy Technology Holdings Limited ( (HK:1597) ) has provided an announcement.

China Nature Energy Technology Holdings Limited has expanded its footprint in China’s energy storage market via subsidiary Wuchuan Tongli, which is investing in a new large-scale battery project in Guangdong Province. The group is positioning itself as a participant in grid-supporting storage infrastructure as China upgrades its power system to integrate more renewable energy.

The company has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with POWERCHINA Chengdu Engineering Corporation for a 70MW/140MWh independent energy storage power station in Zhanjiang, valued at about RMB184.9 million. The project, which includes a lithium iron phosphate battery system and a 110kV substation, is scheduled for completion and full-capacity grid connection before December 2026 and qualifies as a discloseable transaction under Hong Kong listing rules.
