# Bitmine Buys 100,000 ETH as It Pursues 5% of Total Ethereum Supply

Bitmine bought an additional 100,000 ETH worth $163 million yesterday as it continues building its Ethereum holdings. According to NS3.AI, ETH fell in tandem with U.S. stocks last night before the purchase. Bitmine has said it is targeting holdings equal to 5% of all ETH. The company remains 400,000 ETH short of that target.
