# UBTECH-backed UWORLD’s full-size humanoid companion robot secures 3,000 orders in eight days

UWORLD, UBTECH’s consumer-focused brand, said its global first full-size ultra-bionic humanoid robot has received more than 3,000 orders within eight days of going on sale on Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com on June 2. Positioned as an emotional companion robot, the product supports encrypted memory storage and extensive appearance customization. It is available only to adult buyers.

The male version stands 183 cm tall and weighs 42 kg, while the female version is 168 cm tall and weighs 35.2 kg. Both models feature 88 degrees of freedom and offer a battery life of two to four hours. Secondary development is not supported.

Customers can secure a place in the first batch by paying a 3,000 yuan ($442) deposit. The robot is scheduled for an official launch on June 30, while pricing has yet to be announced. \[TechNode Reporting\]
