Xbrane Biopharma AB has entered a strategic partnership with JOINN Biologics US Inc. to advance Xdarzane, its biosimilar candidate to multiple myeloma drug Darzalex. JOINN will handle customized process development, including pilot-scale work to demonstrate analytical similarity and secure a commercially viable yield, while Xbrane leads global out-licensing and later-stage development with JOINN.

The deal structure allows Xbrane to progress the Xdarzane program without additional direct development spending at this stage, potentially strengthening its biosimilar pipeline ahead of Darzalex’s patent expiries in the U.S. and Europe.
