# Asia Markets Close in the Green

Asia markets closed in the green as traders looked ahead to SpaceX’s historic initial public offering on Friday.

In Japan, the Nikkei 225 vaulted 1,802.77 points, or 0.1%, to close Friday and the week at 66,020.04.

In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng surged 468.81 points, or 1.9%, to 24,718.10.

In other markets;

In Shanghai, the CSI 300 index regained 54.91 points, or 1.2%, to 4,777.32.

In Taiwan, the Taiex spiked 1,019.58 points, or 2.4%, to 44,169.04

In Korea, the Kospi index gained 359.67 points, or 4.6%, to 8,123.62.

In Singapore, the Straits Times 50 index took on 37.7 points, or 0.8%, to 5,025.80.

In New Zealand, the NZX 50 restored 191.71 points, or 1.5%, to 13,393.88.

In Australia, the ASX recovered 170.79 points, or 2%, to 8,804.04.
