The three major U.S. stock indices closed higher, with the NASDAQ rising 3.07%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.92%, and the S&P 500 index increasing by 1.66%. SpaceX surged 19.6%, with a total market capitalization jumping to $2.52 trillion. Chip stocks rose, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up 4.45%. Western Digital increased over 16%, marking its best single-day performance since January and a record closing high. Micron Technology rose over 10%, Seagate Technology increased over 9%, ARM was up over 8%, AMD and SanDisk rose over 6%, while Qualcomm, TSMC, and NXP increased over 4%. Applied Materials and NVIDIA rose over 3%. Fox closed down 17%, marking a record single-day decline.
