# "ZOTYE and 8 other car companies' vehicle production qualifications have been frozen and permanently invalidated" is false news

Recently, there was news online stating that "the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's 408th announcement will remove eight automotive companies, including FAW Xiali, Brilliance Auto, ZOTYE, Cheetah, Lifan, Huatai, BAIC Yinxiang, and Old Haima, from the vehicle manufacturer list, with their vehicle production qualifications frozen and permanently invalidated." On June 17, a reporter learned from authoritative sources that this information is false. Among the eight companies rumored to have their production qualifications revoked, only the original FAW Xiali had its access permit canceled years ago; among the other seven companies, only some have canceled or plan to cancel individual production addresses, and not their entire vehicle production qualifications
