# Meta is in talks to invest in Indian fintech payment startup Cred

At least six informed sources revealed to Indian financial media Moneycontrol that Facebook's parent company Meta has been in talks to invest in Indian fintech payment startup Cred in recent weeks, with the deal valuing the company at $4 billion. The proposed valuation of $4 billion (equivalent to ₹380 billion) is slightly higher than the company's revised valuation of $3.5 billion for 2025, but far lower than its valuation of $6.4 billion during its last major funding round in 2022
