# Xuanzhu Biopharma Advances Anaprazole into Phase III Trial for H. pylori Eradication

Xuanzhu Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Class H ( (HK:2575) ) has provided an update.

Xuanzhu Biopharmaceutical has enrolled the first patient in a Phase III, multi-centre, randomized, double-blind clinical trial evaluating its innovative proton pump inhibitor Anaprazole Sodium as part of a bismuth-containing quadruple therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication. The study will compare Anaprazole-based therapy with an esomeprazole-based regimen in 556 adults, measuring eradication rates via 13C-urea breath test, and aims to capture efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetic data.

The rapid enrollment following regulatory clearance in China underscores the company’s execution capabilities and advances Anaprazole toward a broader label in a large and growing Hp treatment market projected to more than double by 2035. A successful approval for this new indication could significantly expand Anaprazole’s patient base, deepen Xuanzhu’s presence in the digestive-disease segment, and provide a new growth driver in a market with high infection rates and rising demand for safer, domestically developed therapies.
