The turnover of Hong Kong stocks in the morning session reached HKD 200.3 billion. ZhiPu (02513) once surged over 40% during the session, reaching a new high with a market value exceeding HKD 1 trillion. The CEO is optimistic about the speed of catching up with the Chinese model. It rose over 17% at noon. YOFC (06869) rose over 27%, as fiber optic supplier Fujikura raised its earnings guidance, and price increases for fiber optics may become an industry consensus. PCB price increases are attracting attention. KINGBOARD HLDG (00148) rose over 8%, with its stock price hitting a new high since listing, accumulating a nearly 400% increase this year. COSCO Shipping Energy (01138) rose 7.9%, as expectations for the resumption of US-Iran talks in the Strait increased, leading to a significant rise in spot freight rates on major routes. Automobile stocks fell across the board, with many stocks dropping over 4%, as the EU plans to impose tariffs on imported hybrid vehicles from China. Great Wall Motors (02333) fell over 3%; Li Auto-W (02015) fell 3%. Gold stocks led the decline. With no hope for interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve this year, Goldman Sachs significantly lowered its gold price target.
