# SMART-CORE  Plans 15% Discounted Share Placement, Net Proceeds Over HKD0.29B

SMART-CORE (02166.HK) +0.320 (+9.065%) announced a plan to place up to 97.7362 million new shares, representing approximately 16.67% of its enlarged issued share capital. The placing price is HKD3 per share, representing a discount of approximately 15.01% to the previous closing price. Assuming all placing shares are fully placed, the gross proceeds will be approximately HKD293 million and the net proceeds are estimated to be approximately HKD291 million. The net proceeds will be used to expand the procurement and inventory of memory and optoelectronic components to meet customers' rapidly growing procurement demand.
